14th Started to add Tags to images - that's the small box with text in that appears when you roll the mouse over a picture.  Just done the menu so far - will do others when I have time.

4th Added Quick Links - this may take a while to get right.  Thinking of rearranging the menu slightly to suit.  Any suggestions with Navigation welcome!! (Can it be made any easier!!!)

3rd Added some more stuff, fixed typo and added Rock Solid to what's on page. Archived some Older Changes

29th Got the Christmas Site ready - will go up on Dec 1st

OCTOBER 2006

10th Small mod to front page and also the Site Info/Privacy Policy page

8th Modified "IM Specific Links" after publication of list of Church Websites in this months "Connextion".  Now have more links to our sister churches sites.

6th Added bit of Java to certain pages.  It just time/date stamps the "Last Modified" date to show when that page was last updated - example on the bottom of this page - been on the front page for about 3 years.  Will roll this out on other pages as the week goes on - no point putting on things that never or rarely need updating.  Of course, if you see anything that needs to be updated and hasn't been for a while, you may need to give me a nudge!  Please do - there is quite a lot to update - please bear with me!!

Believe it or not, I've just done a count, and there isn't far short of 50 separate pages on the site now - it only takes one comma to be deleted in error, and it could break a link to half of the site.  There are over 150 different files (inc Images) and it's about 3mb in all.  I'll do a proper audit soon!  I get lost sometimes too - just about keeping tabs on where everything is!

SEPTEMBER 2006

26th Added new counter.  You get the idea!  Started it from 5900 - a fairly conservative figure based on a guess from where we where up to when the last one went offline.  Just really to give us an idea of progress!  Also fixed Extreme Tracking.  Seems they got a bit shirty about me resizing their button - took 'em a while to notice though!

25th Added Ladies Outing text and Pictures. 

24th (23.57 - by 3 minutes!!!) Hardly worth noting really.  On the worship page there is a link to Stockton Heath under Rob's entry.  I've changed it so that their website will open in a new window rather than flooding the current one (and effectively taking you off ours).  Didn't say these changes were always exciting!  Also changed wording of the footnote on this page. 

21st Site been up 3 years! Don't know how many visitors 'cos the counter has stopped working (will sort it this week!) but reckon it's about 6000.  At least I haven't got bored of it yet!

6th Continued to change backgrounds.  Don't think there are many left that need doing.  Keeps it uniform at least.  Even added it to the Guestbook!

5th Added splash screen - not really necessary, but quite pretty.  Changed a few backgrounds to bring them in line with the rest of the site

4th Added new content to the Worship Team page - Thanks again Donna!

3rd Slowed scroll speed.  Added some new bits - purely cosmetic.  Started to update kids section, with Friday Club and Rock Solid about to restart.  Thanks to Donna for sending the updated stuff.  Sorted out the menu and stuff.  New pic required for Rock Solid page ASAP.  Disabled the broken counter, as it was hindering the loading of the page.

AUGUST 2006

27th Added Scrolling panel for "Newsflash" type messages.  Mail me to add your message.  Counter isn't working.  This is an off-site feature, and they appear to be offline.  If this continues, I'll look for another one.

JULY 2006

24th Put the finishing touches to picnic page and finally uploaded it!

10th Got page ready for Sundays Picnic, by recycling last years. 

JUNE 2006

25th Added Walking Day pictures. 

7th Serious ISP troubles again.  As a result I am hoping to move to another server, but this could take up to a month.   I haven't been able to update anything all week, and the site has also been unavailable for extended periods.  I can do nothing about this as it is beyond my control.  E-Mail will not be affected.  Will update as soon as I know more. 

MAY 2006

6th Having not been able to get into the server for the last week, a deluge of updates today.  Added New Friday Club picture (without me on) - still needs doing again.  Also added the first "Quote" from Spring Harvest.

APRIL 2006   

27th Amended E-Mail Aliases (1 Addition), added to Contacts page.  Fixed Typo

19th Added Spring Harvest page - tidied up other content.

MARCH 2006   

18th Removed link to my own web-site - again!  Seems to have magically re-appeared!

FEBRUARY 2006

28th Slight change to the FAQ, restructured this page, deleted redundant files from server.

JANUARY 2006

7th Fixed a lot of typos and changes on the What's On and Notice Board pages.  Removed all "Christmas" material and had a general tidy up.

DECEMBER 2005

6th Erm, actually, not quite - had turned OFF Extreme Tracker!!!  It's all back in now though!  And working perfectly!

5th Fixed the problem described below.  We now have 3 random backgrounds, and the rest of the page works!!!  Let me know if  it causes any problems for you!!

2nd Festive website now uploaded.  The original plan was (and still is) to use 3 different animated gifs as a background, but randomly selected (1 at a time).  I have almost got the Javascript for that working.   Just having a few teething problems, as it's having an adverse affect on other bits of the page.

28th Added said clarification to LINKS section.  Also Email link to report abuse.

27th Added a clarification to the Site Info page to state the confines of the domain - ie, what is and what isn't -part of the Church Web Site.  Broke the link to my own site.  This will NOT be re-instated under any circumstances.

21st Trying a couple of Background Effects.  Added two pics to the Bonfire/Fireworks page.  Added some updated text to the About Us/History page.  Will hopefully be adding the usual festive stuff on Dec 1st.

14th Added Holding (Blank) Pages and Links for the  evening, and Family Weekend.  Thats the HARD part, believe it or not!!!!

9th Gave the Contacts Page a long overdue tidy up.

20th Changed the Old "Monday Jam" page to Rock Solid. Applied changes to the rest of the Kids area, which has a temporary menu.  Need more eye-candy here folks!  Oh, and the site is 2 years old Tomorrow!

13th Modified 2 spelling mistakes - Ruth had only spotted one of them though!

3rd  Modified some out-of-date information on the Info Page - size and renewal date for domain (I've just re-registered)

JULY 2005

12th Added the basics of the page - too good a day to leave out!

4th Set up blank Walking Day page - just need to add pictures and text in next few days!

29th Updated scrolling text on home page, and deleted some dead files.

28th Replaced dead link on site map.  Also realised I'd forgotton to upload the Picnic Piccys!!

25th Added High Legh picnic to the Recent Events page.  Text will follow (waiting to see what goes in the Magazine)

12th At last got around to adding Leaders Photos to the Tiddlers, Friday Club and Monday Jam pages.  Also discovered some  really bizarre formatting on the Friday Club page (I must have done it for a reason - just can't think what!!!) which I have now removed.

2nd Updated a couple of the Banner Headings to incorporate the new logo - still maybe one or two floating about that haven't been changed.  Trying to mop these up as I go along.

MAY 2005

29th Added my "Nerd Score" as a bit of fun!

26th Fixed a couple of glaring typos (but not telling where!)  Also modified some navigational features.

25th Received conformation from my ISP that the Form-to-Mail transport is NOT working.  I know other people are suffering too.  This means that the forms, such as Family Weekend booking form, will not work until this is fixed, or I find an alternative service.  This is beyond my control.  The only other way of doing this locally is messy, and I'm not prepared to use it.

23rd Added this feature (So you don't think I'm sat on my bum all the time)

Made significant changes to the Home Page, added a "Noticeboard" feature and started to add content to the Kid's section.
