On Easter Sunday, 5th April, we took a stroll through the local scenery.
A light lunch after the service and then we assembled in the car park for the obligatory team photo, then off we went.
A short distance from the church, we entered the new Bold estate to gain access to the Sutton Moss trail.
Within no time the cloud dispersed and we were bathed in glorious spring sunshine.
If you haven't been to the top of "Telly Tubby Hill" it is highly recommended. It is stunning with a panoramic view of the local area.
Worth noting that even though it was very hot, the recent rain had made sections of the pathway extremely muddy and care was needed in navigating these areas.
The trail was completed along a path way over the wetland area and before we knew it we weer back on tarmac. We walked along Houghton Road and back to the church.
It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. So much so that we will definitely be taking in more of our local beauty spots soon.
