This years annual picnic at the Northwood Centre in High Legh got off to a very unusual start. On arrival we discovered that a leak had caused the kitchen to flood. It was all hands on deck as mops and buckets were deployed to avert disaster.
It was fortunate that we had booked that weekend and were able to prevent a small leak becoming a major disaster.
After a time of fellowship and a hearty packed lunch it was time for the traditional outdoor games. Teams selected and battle commenced, well touch rugby followed by rounders to be more precise.
In addition to team sports we also tried out some circus skills including plate spinning, diabolo and juggling.
For those wishing to simply observe the activities and take in the glorious views of the Cheshire countryside, the weather was wonderful.
We were able to gaze on the planes taking off from Manchester airport and speculated which far off destination the holiday makers were bound for.
As is always the case, the afternoon was all too soon over and it was time to pack up and head home. Another great day's fellowship with the SVC family.
