When we pray we try to do these 4 things:
- Praise – we thank God for everything we believe that He does in our lives
- Repent – we ask God to help us turn away from anything that we know is wrong in our lives. We call this stuff SIN.
- Ask – we ask God if we need help with something. The answer we get might not be the one we were expecting, but we remember that God is the creator of all things, so part of our faith as a Christian is accepting that He knows what’s best for us.
- Yield – we shut up every now and then to let God speak to us! If you’re having a conversation with someone, you give them time to talk, don’t you? Well, for us it’s the same when we pray.
