Our first session of 2024 focussed in on prayer. Specifically how and why we should pray ‘boldly’. Our starting point for the session was this message from Life Church.
The main reading for this session came from Acts 4:1-31.
“And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word. Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.

After watching the message, our discussion centred around three main questions:
- On a scale of 1-10, how amazed are people by your boldness?
- Talk about a recent time when you had an opportunity to share your faith, or were bold for Jesus
- Think about the people you interact with. What opportunities do you have to be bold in your faith this coming week?
